Rustikal und wohnlich, das ist keineswegs ein Gegensatz. Und selbst das Format der durchgefärbten Fliesen in den Farbtönen Rauch, Barique und Cognac erinnert mit 20 x 120 cm derart an Bodendielen, dass ein Schreiner gleich Hand anlegen möchte.

Doch beim Gewicht wird sich der Schreiner wundern, denn Feldberg bringt neben der Optik des naturbelassenen Rohstoffes Holz auch die Dichte von Feinsteinzeug mit – und zwar mit allen Vorteilen, gerade hinsichtlich Solidität und Wertbeständigkeit. Das Material ist ausgesprochen pflegeleicht, robust gegen Kratzer, Macken oder Flecken und mit R10/B auch sicher.

Und in Verbindung mit einer Fußbodenheizung ist Feldberg dem herkömmlichen Holzfußboden ganz klar überlegen, denn aufgrund seiner Masse trägt der Fliesenboden sommers wie winters zu einem maximal behaglichen Raumklima bei.

Rustic and cosy is by no means a contradiction. The Feldberg series combines both qualities, bringing together the best of both worlds – the idyllic charm of wood and the long-lasting durability of porcelain gres. Feldberg incorporates contemporary zeitgeist into the room and can be combined with subtle colours, home textiles and the latest furnishings in a wonderfully harmonious way.

Rustic describes Feldberg perfectly. The surface, inspired by natural wood, creates the down-to-earth, welcoming ambience of a country estate. This rectified floor tile imitates the eyes and knots of wood in a strikingly realistic way creating a truly authentic look. A gentle “rocker” sheen is worked into the flow of the grains to provide additional depth. It is delightful to the touch, yet not too rough, and reflects the feel of the real wood you would expect from a sawmill. And even the 20 x 120 cm format of the through-coloured tiles in the colours smoke, barique and cognac is so reminiscent of wooden floorboards that a carpenter would be eager to lend a hand.

However, a carpenter would be surprised by the weight, because Feldberg has not only the look of natural wood, but also the compactness of porcelain gres – with all the advantages, especially regarding durability and long-lasting value. The material is remarkably easy to clean, resistant to scratches, marks and stains, and with R10/B it is also safe. And in combination with underfloor heating, Feldberg is vastly superior to conventional wooden flooring, because thanks to its density, the tile floor helps to create the most comfortable indoor climate both in summer and winter.
