Das Inselleben kann manchmal rau sein, aber es hat einen so unwiderstehlichen Charme, dass es Sehnsüchte weckt. Die werden mit der Steingut-Serie Westerland erfüllt, denn sie kann im Raum eine derartige Illusion erzeugen, dass man meint, das Meer rauschen und die Möwen kreischen zu hören.
Dafür sind die angenehm seidenmatten Fliesen in ihrem Design mit den Farbtönen klar-weißer Natur und dezent-weißem Kalk sowie samtig-beigem Sand und schlicht-grauem Stein den landschaftlichen Beschaffenheiten der Klippen nachempfunden. Um die Küste noch weiter ins Zuhause zu bringen, wurden die Versionen Sand und Stein um eine haptische Komponente erweitert und als Bohle modelliert, sodass man den Sand fühlen kann, den man im Urlaub noch in den Schuhen hatte. Das Format 35 x 100 cm der rektifizierten Fliese ist prädestiniert, um den Weitblick zu erzeugen, den man vom Deich aus hat, wobei sie mit nur 6 mm Stärke auch eine luftige Leichtigkeit vermittelt.
Mit der Steingut-Serie entsteht so ein Raum der Erholung, den man immer wieder betreten will, getreu dem Motto: Ich will zurück nach Westerland.

A return to Westerland
Island life can sometimes be harsh, but it has such an irresistible charm that it awakens yearnings. These are fulfilled by the Westerland stoneware series, because it has the ability to create such a magical illusion in any room that you will think you can hear the roar of the sea and the call of the seagulls.
To achieve this, the design of the luxuriantly silky matt tiles, with their shades of clear natural white, subtle white chalk, velvety beige sand and plain grey stone, is based on the characteristic natural features of the cliffs. To transport the coast even further into the home, the sand and stone versions have been enhanced with a tactile component and shaped to resemble floorboards, so that you can almost feel the sand in your shoes from your holiday. The 35 x 100 cm format of the rectified tile is perfect for recreating the unobstructed perspective from the dyke, while also conveying an airy lightness with its thickness of just 6 mm.
The stoneware series thus creates a space for relaxation that you will want to step into again and again, true to the motto: I yearn to return to Westerland.
